Life Beyond Cancer
“An initiative that provides help to the underprivileged and needy children undergoing cancer treatment.
“
From a very young age, my sister and I have been involved with World Rose Day celebrations, dedicated to cancer patients and their caregivers. We felt a natural affinity towards children suffering from this disease. Besides raising funds, we worked on identifying simple needs of cancer patients and helped provide the same.
Goals
- Provided reading material and after care support for the children undergoing treatment at the VHS Thalassemia center.
- Provided educational worksheets in Math and Art supplies for the young patients to be kept engaged at the pediatric ward, Apollo Cancer Center.
- Improved the creche and play area for the sick children at Egmore Institute of Child Health and Hospital.
- Provided medicines for 60 Thalassemia patients.
- Provided COVID testing for patients undergoing treatment at the Cancer Institute (WIA)
